West Pak Avocado Organic program

With an ever-increasing competitive landscape within the growing community and an ever-growing health conscious society, organic farming and produce has increased in popularity both on the growing side and on the consumer side. Organics is no longer a trend; it is an essential part and is now commonplace within domestic and international agriculture. Recognizing the importance of organics, West Pak Avocado has taken the necessary steps to become a fully certified and operational organic packing house in order to support our increasing organic grower base and to provide the community with wholesome, organically grown avocados.

West Pak Avocado is a California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) Packing House, handling, packaging, shipping, and marketing organic avocados for our specialized growing community. Through our newly designed and state of the art packing facility, we comply with all State and applicable organic production and handling regulations. We have initiated and maintain a comprehensive Organic Program within West Pak to ensure that all operations comply with all Organic guidelines set forth by CCOF. West Pak performs self audits on a biannual basis in preparation for our annual audit by CCOF.



For more than 30 years, the farming industry has trusted California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) to ensure their organic food is produced to the highest standards. CCOF helped plant the seeds that grew the organic movement into an industry. Founded in 1973, CCOF was one of the first organizations to certify organic farms in North America. CCOF set uniform guidelines and worked to legally define "organic". CCOF only certifies organic farmers, processors, retailers, and wholesalers who comply with USDA and CCOF International organic standards. CCOF’s inspectors examine the crops, the land, the facility, the process, and the paperwork to ensure compliance on all levels.
