Introducing our new corporate video, Growing a Ripe Legacy. Welcoming you into the world of green fruit, this visual storytelling experience outlines our company’s rich heritage and the avocado’s seed-to-store journey.
Watch as the first family of avocados takes you inside the heart of the West Pak organization, sharing insight from our key stakeholders and employees. Growing a Ripe Legacy starts with the humble beginnings of founders Galen Newhouse and Randy Shoup. It records the progression they have made in 35 years of business. Through the foundation of our core values; people, culture, innovation, and commitment to avocado growth, West Pak has become one of the top avocado producers and one of the largest privately owned avocado companies in the world.
As Galen and Randy prepare to step back from their original roles and take on new directions for West Pak, they will hand the reins of daily management over to CEO Mario Pacheco. In the meantime, Galen and Randy will spearhead various aspects of business development and will serve on the Board of Directors. The goal is to continue West Pak’s commitment to growing industry relationships, new ventures in global markets, industry innovation, and continued branding for the avocado.
“Developing a video that defines West Pak and our Avocado Family was a year in the making,” said West Pak Avocado Co-Founder Galen Newhouse. “With efforts spanning from our headquarters in Murrieta, California to Michoacán, Mexico, the production involved creating never-before-seen footage inside of our facilities and with members of our team. Our goal was to show the depth of our operations, the heart of our team and the lengths West Pak takes as a company to provide our customers with the finest fruit globally.”
In addition to carrying on the legacy of our founders, Growing a Ripe Legacy also serves as a foundation that reinforces our company’s “Avocado Family” theme and defines our dedication to innovation, growers, and global expansion.
The trailer for Growing a Ripe Legacy debuted at the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit in New Orleans on October 20, 2017. The full-length video launched on March 26, 2018, and is currently available below.
