West Pak Avocado recently stepped up the company’s organics launch with a showing at Southern Innovations Organics and Foodservice Expo. The organic-only retail produce event was held September 6 – 8, 2018 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to foodservice offerings, this annual conference provided retail professionals a look at the most recent innovations in organics within the produce industry.
Exhibiting at Southern Innovations for West Pak Avocado was Eastern Regional Sales Manager Scott Ross who verified an overwhelmingly positive response to the company’s newly launched organic offerings.
“Organics are a rapidly expanding market, so it makes sense that West Pak’s new brands have been well-received by the organic community. Our conventional bagged avocado marketing and sales program is off to a great start and the organic versions have taken our overall retail offerings to new heights,” said Ross.
The company’s organic launch began at Organic Produce Summit in Monterey, California in July where three new organic brands were unveiled. The new retail lines of bagged avocados include I Love Avocados Organic, California Gold Organic, and LiL’Cados Organic.
Inspiring health-minded people to live a life of wellness, the I love Avocados Organic line offers new and exciting ways of enjoying nature’s original superfruit. The California Gold Organic brand presents local-grove avocado goodness from the golden state while single-serving LiL’Cados Organic feature avocados that appeal to the mini fruit market.
To feed the need for organically grown fruit, West Pak has become a fully certified and operational organic packing house. The company had complied with all organic production and handling requirements, and even performs self-audits to ensure that they meet or exceed all National Organic Program organic guidelines.
The organic version of West Pak’s popular I Love Avocados brand, as well as two new lines for California Gold and LiL’Cados, are the first branded organic retail offerings for the company. The conventional version of LiL’Cados, as well as Viva Avocados, will officially launch at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Orlando on October 18-20, 2018 with the California Gold brand following in early 2019.
